Tooth Selectors
Learn more about the Tooth Selector element and how to use it
A Tooth Selector is an element that allows you to easily select teeth and/or their surfaces to include in your Clinical Note. You can also use it to select areas or regions of the mouth.
It will only be visible in the Editor Tool Bar or Slash Menu if you have Dental Notations enabled in your user settings.
The dental notation system used in the Tooth Selector Menu can be changed in your user settings.
Adding a Tooth Selector
Tooth Selectors can be added to your Template through the Editor Tool Bar, or by the Slash Menu command /tooth-selector.

You can have it display the tooth surfaces or deciduous teeth by default when opened in a Clinical Note by enabling them in its menu.
Using a Tooth Selector
Open the Tooth Selector menu in a Clinical Note, and make the relevant teeth selections.
Once you are happy with what is selected, click on the "Select" button in the top right corner of the menu.
To clear the content of a Tooth selector, click the "Clear" button or delete the content in its text area.
Options can be edited or updated by going back into the Tooth Selector's menu.
When viewing the menu with the "Surfaces" option enabled, you can select surfaces of each tooth. To select a whole tooth without a surface or clear a specific tooth, right click it.
Tooth Selectors can be used as part of Logic (HYPERLINK).
If you do not see the Tooth Selector in the Editor Tool Bar or Slash Menu, ensure Dental Notations is enabled in your user settings.
