Checkboxes

Learn more about the Checkbox element and how to use it

Check boxes are a way to only add information to your Clinical Note when it is active (i.e. checked). This is similar to Clickable lines, but instead of having the whole line active or inactive, the Checkbox allows for a section of text within a line to be active or inactive.

Adding a Checkbox

You can add a Checkbox to your Template through the Editor Tool Bar or with the Slash Menu by typing /checkbox.

Using a Checkbox

Checkboxes can be positively checked by clicking on its box. Right-clicking on the box will negatively check it (see Negative Selects for more information — [LINK TO NEGATIVE SELECTS]).

You can have a checkbox pre-checked in your Template to make its content automatically active in a newly created Clinical Note.

Use with Logic

Checkboxes can also be used in Logic.

Checkboxes are useful within logic, in that if you want only a certain bit of text to be activated as part of a logic group, you can set the checkbox to become enabled or disabled (i.e. its content hidden).

To make a new line of text active as part of a Logic flow, add a checkbox to an inactive line. Then add the checkbox as part of your Logic flow. Once the checkbox becomes active due to your Logic activating it, it will also cause the inactive line it is on to become active, and hence its content added to your final generated clinical note.
