What are Templates?
Instead of writing each clinical note from scratch, you can simply open up your Template, fill in the details, and complete your notes efficiently.
Templates are re-usable, structured notes that help you complete clinical notes faster and more consistently. They act as check-lists for treatments, allowing you to ensure you have included important and relevant information to keep your clinical notes clear, concise, contemporaneous and patient specific.
Pilots use checklists for all phases of flight to ensure safety and prevent errors. In this same way, Clinicians can use their Templates as checklists to ensure their Clinical Notes include important and relevant information for a treatment, keeping notes Clear, Concise and Contemporaneous, and protecting you medico-legally.
Templates are fantastic at saving time and providing structure to your notes, but often need a lot of editing and reviewing, and cannot simply be copied and pasted for all patients.
This is why Clerkal templates contain clickable elements. To make your note specific to the patient, you simply need to select the relevant element options in the template.
