What are Dynamic Elements
Learn more about Dynamic Elements and their use
Dynamic Elements are elements with a special feature. They are created in a centralised placed and can be added to your Templates. When you want to update its content, you can simply update it in the Dynamic Element section and it will be updated across all Templates that it is being used in.
These are ideal of options that may change frequently, such as Labs or Materials being used, or Nurses you may be working with.
Dynamic Element types
Only the following element types can be made as Dynamic Elements:
Example use cases include:
Labs
Say you have a Dropdown element that contains commonly used Labs that you send work to. These labs may change every now and then. If you are using this Dropdown in multiple templates, you will have to constantly update the options in each template when they change.
To be more efficient, you can create a Dynamic Dropdown, and define your currently used labs in there. Replace all the old dropdowns with the newly created Dynamic Dropdown in your Templates.
Now when you need to update the Lab options, you can do it in one centralised area through your Dynamic Element Section. This will update the element's options across all Templates it is being used in.
Dental Nurses
Suppose you are a Dentist that works with different nurses across multiple practice. in your templates, you have a button that contains the initials of the nurses to work with to record in your notes.
Every time you start working regularly with a new new, or join a new practice, you will need to update all of your templates that have this element.
To make this easier, create a Dynamic Button that contains the initials of the nurses that you currently work with, and replace the old Buttons in your templates with this Dynamic Element.
Now when you start working with a new nurse, you only need to update it the Dynamic Element section and all your templates will be updated with the new list.
