Transcribe
Learn about Clerkal's Transcribe feature and how to use it
Clerkal's AI features are a Beta feature.
Any results generated should be reviewed by the clinician to ensure they are appropriate.
Clinicians are responsible for their own clinical notes.
If you have a long section of information in your notes that you need to write up, such as a discussion about treatment or options, you can choose to use Clerkal's transcription feature.
This feature requires a microphone on the device you are completing your notes from.
To start your transcription
Select the microphone icon in the Editor tool bar to enable Transcription
It will turn TEAL when enabled.

Choose where in your Template you want your transcribed text to be inserted
A microphone icon will appear to confirm the correct placed

Click and hold the button at the bottom of the page to start transcribing

This button can be dragged around the screen, to ensure it is not in your way while transcribing.
You can also choose to slide to lock the transcribe feature.
Transcription will automatically be disabled if there is a long period of silence
Tips for improved or accurate transcription
Ensure a good quality microphone is used
Be in a quiet environment.
Loud or noisy environments can create background white noise impacting the transcribed data accuracy.
Speak clearly and slowly
Troubleshooting
If you cannot enabled the Transcribe option:
Ensure you have given then website permission to use your microphone
Ensure your microphone is connected to your device
My transcribed text appears jumbled:
Ensure you are in a quiet environment
Try a different, or better quality microphone
Transcribe does not work when previewing a Template
